Summer (July–September)
Hot, dry and alive. This is harvest and the Fiestas de la Vendimia, the valley at its busiest and most festive. Days are warm and made for the pool; evenings are long. Book far ahead — this is peak season and the whole valley is in demand.
Autumn (October–November)
Many people's favorite. The harvest crowds thin, the light softens, and the wineries are relaxed again. Warm days, cool nights, and the vines turning color. An easy, uncrowded time to come.
Winter (December–February)
Cool and clear, and quietly beautiful. The valley is green from the rains, the wineries are calm, and the house lights its fire at night. Bring a layer for the evenings; the desert cools quickly after dark.
Spring (March–June)
Green hills, wildflowers, mild weather and long days before the summer heat. A lovely, gentle season, and the pool is warming up again.
