Casa Finch is a designer's house set alone on a ridge in Mexico's wine country — glass on every side, an infinity pool over the vineyards, and no neighbors in sight.
A new architectural gem, built into the top of the hill so it seems to belong there. Four bedrooms, three baths and several places to sit and do nothing at all — each one turned toward the mountains and the vines. Walls of glass pull the valley inside. Interior gardens and a fireplace keep it warm when the desert cools. It is private, it is quiet, and it books quickly.

The house was drawn around what you can see. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room, the kitchen and the primary suite mean the Valle de Guadalupe is always part of the day — vineyards in the morning, gold on the hills at five, a sky that turns rose and then violet before the stars come out.

Timber ceilings, plaster, stone and linen — an open great room where the kitchen, dining and living blend into one long space made for a group to spread out. Every bedroom is its own retreat; every bath is sculptural and calm. This is a house you settle into, not one you tiptoe around.

The terrace is the point of the whole house: an infinity pool, loungers set for the sunset, a fire to gather around when it cools, and the valley dropping away in front of you with nothing built between here and the horizon.
