There are two easy ways to reach Casa Finch, and a third we usually recommend: let someone else drive.

From San Diego

Cross the border at San Ysidro and follow the coast highway (MEX-1) south past Rosarito toward Ensenada, then turn inland on MEX-3, the Ruta del Vino, up into the valley. The whole trip is roughly two hours. The coastal stretch is beautiful; the last climb into the hills is where the vineyards begin.

From Tijuana

If you fly into Tijuana (TIJ), the valley is about ninety minutes away, mostly along MEX-3. It is the shortest drive of the three and a good option if you are coming from farther afield.

Let us drive

Wine country and driving do not mix, and the valley's roads are dark and unlit at night. For most guests the easiest answer is a private driver — to bring you from the border or airport, and to take you out to the wineries and back so no one has to think about the road or the return. Tell the concierge your arrival details and we will arrange it.

One practical note: bring your passport, and check your car insurance covers Mexico if you drive your own. The concierge can advise on the current border and crossing situation before you set out.
